Concept of Passive and Post-Accident Part Assessment for Non-Commercial Vehicles Integrated Safety Design

The article describes the basics of the proposed new scientific concept of rating the passive (and post-accident) part of the integrated safety of non-commercial vehicles. The concept is based on the application of a new criterion characterizing the level of passive safety of the vehicle structure in the selected test scenario. As a new comprehensive criterion for the passive safety of a car, it is proposed to apply not the criteria for organ damage under fixed collision conditions, but the speed of the car, at which the limit criteria for organ damage will not be exceeded. The concept of forming a new methodology for the independent assessment of the level of passive safety of non-commercial vehicles of the M1 category is presented. The issues of the correctness of evaluating the effectiveness of active (preventive) safety measures are also taken into account. An objective, scientifically based distribution of the weight of assessments of the active and passive parts of the integrated safety of the car is proposed. The problems arising in the practical implementation of a new scientific concept are described and ways to overcome them are proposed.
