Pulsed stimulated emission from N, C, Cl, and F atoms

Eighteen electrically pulsed parent compound-helium mixtures yielded N, C, Cl, or F atom lasing. The laser pulses appeared as one or more peaks at each wavelength. New lasing on the chlorine wavelength (3.5443 μm
vac
) was observed from a Cl
2
-He mixture.
