Adjustable Capacity of Hydropower Stations with Hydrological Model in the Watershed

Hydropower is affected by geographical location, hydrology and meteorology, seasons, etc., making it difficult to predict the output and adjustable capacity of hydropower stations, which restricts the difficulty of local power grid management of hydropower stations. It is urgent to study and consider the distributed adjustable capacity of hydropower in the same basin to ensure the economic operation of hydropower -photovoltaic power generation systems in county power grids. Therefore, a hydropower station runoff prediction model considering multiple factors such as geographical location, hydro meteorology, and season is proposed. Advanced hydro meteorological monitoring technology is adopted to study the regulation characteristics of distributed hydropower stations in the basin. Based on hydrological forecasting in the basin, a quantitative model for the adjustable capacity of distributed hydropower in the basin considering hydro meteorology and demand side flexible resources is proposed. The result can provide a foundation for hydropower-photovoltaic joint power generation and also provide effective guarantees for the economic operation of hydropower-photovoltaic power generation systems in county power grids.
