Static Jacchia 1977 Atmospheric Modeling Using Python for Future LEO Satellite Orbit Prediction

The Jacchia 1977 atmospheric model is widely used for simulating the density and temperature profiles of Earth's atmosphere at high altitudes. In this study, we developed a Python-based implementation of the static Jacchia 1977 model, aimed at providing a flexible and efficient tool for atmospheric modeling. The model was tested across various exospheric temperatures, including 500 K, 1000 K, 1500 K, and 2000 K, to generate temperature, density, and mean molecular mass profiles. The results demonstrated strong agreement with existing numerical calculations, with density errors generally below 5.2 %, validating the model's accuracy. While further testing across a broader range of conditions is recommended, the implemented model shows significant promise for applications in satellite orbit prediction, space mission planning, and other atmospheric studies. This work lays the foundation for future enhancements and practical applications of the Jacchia 1977 model, especially in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite orbit prediction.
