Using Graph Theory on its Full Extent to Speed-up the Analysis of Resistive Grids

Resistive grids have been widely used in diverse applications such as electronic circuits, robotics, image processing and electrical energy networks. The analyses of these types of grids have been carried out by using brute-force methods that rely on nowadays computer power for achieving massive numerical calculations. This work introduces an analysis methodology that rests on basic concepts of Graph Theory in order to determine the values of the electrical variables of the resistive grid, namely nodal voltages and branch currents. As a main result, the topology of the grid is used on its full extent to achieve the task of analysis.
