Weak signal detection method for space-based ESM based on fractional domain matched filtering

With the development of information warfare, space-based electronic reconnaissance system plays an increasingly important role in battlefield situation awareness. As one of the cores of space-based electronic reconnaissance, weak signal detection technology directly affects the effectiveness of reconnaissance system. This article proposes a weak signal detection method for space-based ESM based on fractional domain matched filtering.Through the rotation characteristics of fractional Fourier transform in time-frequency domain, combined with the optimal SNR characteristics of matched filter, the weak signal submerged in the complex electromagnetic environment can be effectively detected. Through theoretical derivation, simulation experiment and comparative analysis, the superior performance of this method in complex background is verified, which provides a new way for signal processing of space-based electronic reconnaissance.
