Transforming Healthcare in Jordan: Enhancing the Patient Journey with AI Innovations Using AI to Enhance Patient Experiences and Hospital Efficiency

The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) ushers in a new age in healthcare, presenting tremendous prospects to improve patient care and simplify hospital operations. This article investigates the revolutionary potential of AI in improving the patient journey in Jordanian hospitals, emphasising emergency departments. We propose a unique AI application currently in development to assist in rapidly identifying diseases and efficiently redirecting patients to suitable departments, reducing the pressure on emergency services. Following a thorough analysis of the available literature, we discovered substantial gaps in research on the implementation of AI in Jordan's healthcare system. Our examination of information from Jordan's Ministry of Health highlights the critical need for AI solutions to solve the country's hospitals' particular difficulties. This study emphasises the vital role of AI in improving patient experiences and optimising resource utilisation. Still, it also advocates for targeted research to fully reap the benefits of AI-driven healthcare advances in Jordan.
