Mitigating Train Platform Gap Accidents through Automated Detection and Intervention

Railway transportation is one of the most widely used mode of transportation. Many accidents occur in railways, one of the reasons behind these accidents is gap length between platform and the train being exceeding the set standards. The aim of this research is to reduce the risk caused by the excessive gap length through automated detection and intervention system.
