Abstract:
In the rapid emergence and evolution of technology, individuals often resemble working machines, neglecting a crucial aspect - health. This review explores IoT-based health monitoring systems, emphasizing the shortcomings and features of existing solutions. IoT is a new internet ecosystem evolving rapidly in research, especially in healthcare. This research study presents the implementation of an IoT-based remote patient monitoring system, where authorized persons can access and monitor patients in remote locations. The analysis includes a detailed examination of Quality of Service (QoS) challenges and trends. This study proposes an IoT-based conceptual architecture for monitoring cardiac and chronic diseases by employing devices like heartbeat sensors, blood saturation sensors, ECG sensors, and blood pressure sensors. Coupled with microcontrollers, data is collected and transmitted to a local server. This system, available via an Android application, enables the virtual sharing of data with both physicians and users, allowing for the remote management of drug infusion, marking a substantial advancement in promoting health awareness.
