Different Lighting Environment Simulation Using Illuminant Estimator and Linear Color Correction

This paper introduces a system to simulate an object’s color under various lighting conditions, addressing challenges like purchasing car paint without knowing the exact color code. Two approaches are used: a Deep Learning Approach and a Color-Card Approach. The Deep Learning Approach combines an illuminant estimator with the Von-Kries method for color transformation. The Color-Card Approach uses a color card and linear regression to transform images to a white-balanced state. Both methods accurately simulate colors under various lighting scenarios, offering unique advantages and demonstrating practical applications in visual media.
