Physical Activity Assessment for Daycare Teachers Reflecting Childcare Contents

The use of ICT in the field of education is expected to alleviate the workload of daycare teachers, but efforts have primarily been aimed at improving operational efficiency. We explore time-series data analysis and holistic clustering analysis on physical activities of daycare children. We discuss visual explanations of the data that help daycare teachers to discuss better childcare contents among them. We explain the methods that can accurately capture details of PA without disrupting play-centered young children, and that can reflect childcare contents of everyday activities providing sufficient PA for children.
