Heavy-Ion SET and SEL Response of a Wide-Band Operational Amplifier Fabricated in the Sky Water S90LN 90 nm Process

Single-event latch-up (SEL) and single-event transient (SET) testing results from heavy-ion irradiation of a custom operational amplifier (OA) designed in the SkyWater S90LN process are provided. The experiments took place at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) 88” Cyclotron facility using the 16 MeV/amu ion cocktail. The results show that the SET cross-section of the OA is limited to 3e-6 cm², and the SkyWater S90LN process exhibits SEL immunity up to an LET of 82 MeV·cm²/mg.
