Integrated Approach to Forecasting and Evaluation of Endovascular Treatment Outcomes in Patients with Chronic Lower Limb Ischemia

Cardiovascular diseases, as well as trophic ulcers on the lower limbs, are common issues among the population. Effective treatment of these diseases significantly improves the quality of life for patients and contributes to favorable long-term outcomes. The use of the WIfI prognostic scheme and the Global Limb Anatomic Staging System (GLASS) appears to be appropriate for evaluating patients with ischemic pain and trophic disorders of the lower limbs. Revascularization in critical lower limb ischemia is of great importance, and individual aspects of treatment should be considered, taking into account the localization and extent of arterial lesions. Therefore, the development of an integrated approach, based on arterial duplex ultrasound scanning, assessment of the degree of ischemia, predictors of restenosis, as well as the application of the Global Limb Anatomic Staging System and the WIfI prognostic scheme, is an important step in the development of algorithms for personalized treatment of patients with chronic lower limb ischemia
