Analysis of the Potential Clinical Application of the Peptidomimetic SAMP-1 to Eliminate Biofilms Caused by S. Aureus

The article presents the data of «in vitro» study of a new synthetic antimicrobial peptidomimetic SAMP-1 as an effective drug for biofilm elimination. S. aureus strain ATCC 6538 FDA was used as a test culture. A model of staphylococcal biofilm was created according to Litusov's method. The possibility of preventing the creation of biofilms and destruction of already formed microbial conglomerates by means of the test substance was evaluated.
