Use of Recycled Plastic for Educational Purposes

Recycled waste plastic can perform a major role in teaching to increase students’ creativity. Nonetheless, instead of viewing plastic waste as a problem, we can see it as an opportunity, because the use of recycled plastic materials can also be done for educational purposes. With the accurate technology and processes, plastic waste can be transformed into high-quality derived raw material, which can be used in diverse industries. This not only helps in decreasing the amount of plastic waste. but also creates a new source of income. The work presents a possibility of using recycled plastic materials in making components for robotic arms. This can be achieved by collaborating during the students’ practice period with some research companies that have technology for processing recycled plastic materials. Following the processing processes, raw materials can be obtained in the form of wire or sheet, and they can be used for 3D printing or CNC machining.
