Computation of Robust Stability Regions for Time-Delayed DC Motor Speed Control System

This research presents a comprehensive robust stability analysis for a DC motor speed control system that incorporates communication delays and parametric uncertainties. A straightforward and efficient graphical approach, based on Kharitonov's Theorem, is introduced to determine all stabilizing Proportional Integral (PI) controller gains for the system, ensuring robust stability despite the communication delays and parametric uncertainties. The approach focuses on defining the stability area and border of the parameter space of PI controller. Time-domain simulations show that the suggested method performs better under parametric uncertainty than previously developed methods
