Development and Validation of LTE SDR-based Signal Analyzer. Part 1. Procedures Description

The purpose of the work is to realize and validate the procedures of LTE physical layer, required for signal analyzer to operate and solve positioning task in conditions of inaccessibility of global navigation satellite systems. From the analysis of open sources it follows, that this study is the first work, that describes in detail the procedures for analyzing broadcast signals of the LTE standard to determine the location of software-defined radio (SDR) based user equipment (UE). Practical significance of the proposed solution is LTE SDR-based signal analyzer, allowing to determine the location of a UE, being not a network subscriber, with the accuracy of proximity to the nearest cell.
