Calculation of SIW Structure Parameters Using Asymptotic Methods

This paper presents the results of the substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) investigation using the Poisson summation formula. The calculation on the representation of the conductors included in the SIW as separate cylindrical conductors of small radius. Three cases were considered: a single conductor, one array of cylindrical conductors at a fixed distance from each other, and two similar arrays at a fixed distance from each other. A simulation of the SIW structure in the ANSYS (Engineering Simulation Software) was also carried out.
