Technical and Economic Analysis of Investment in a Self-Sufficient System Based on the New Network Tariff Model

The paper presents a technical and economic analysis of investment in a self-sufficient system for a household consumer under the new network tariff model and electricity billing system in Slovenia. The paper compares the current system with the new system, as well as the scenarios of electricity production and consumption when the household consumer uses a photovoltaic system, a battery, or neither. The results indicate significantly lower electricity costs under the current system and a small difference in costs when a battery is added to the photovoltaic system under the new system.
