Transmission Line Routing Based on Multi-Source Geographic Information and Improved Grey Wolf Algorithm

The design and selection of transmission lines are crucial for the security, economy and reliability of power systems. Traditional planning methods mainly rely on field visits and empirical judgment of grid researchers and have many limitations. This paper proposes a transmission line path planning method using multi-source geographic information and the improved grey wolf algorithm to reduce some costs. We utilize the geographic information system (GIS) for data processing and apply triangular fuzzy number hierarchical analysis to assess cost weights. By incorporating crossover and mutation operators, we enhance the grey wolf algorithm for optimized path planning. A local area in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, is used for case study, which demonstrates that our method reduces costs compared to traditional grey wolf optimization to a certain extent. The results indicate that our approach offers a more reasonable path planning solution.
