A Framework of Electricity Carbon Monitoring for Low-Voltage Grid

Electricity carbon monitoring is fundamental to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions., which is crucial for controlling global warming. Most existing studies focus primarily on high-voltage grids., such as those operating at 220kV and 500kV., thus neglecting users within low-voltage grids. This paper addresses this gap by proposing a novel framework for electricity carbon measurement specifically tailored for low-voltage grids. The proposed framework integrates an end-layer consisting of smart electric energy meter., a side-layer consisting of smart metering concentrator, and a cloud layer consisting of metering server., which facilitates and improves the transparency of electricity carbon monitoring.
