A Comparative Analysis Of Voltage Doubler And Diode Rectifier For LCC Converter In DC-DC Charging Systems

In this research two popular solutions for full-budge resonant LCC (Inductor-Capacitor-Capacitor) converter for DC-DC charging systems are compared, i.e. diode rectifier and voltage doubler. Through simulations with a 20-40V input, the paper analyzes voltage gain, efficiency, and ripple factor. The proposed voltage doubler achieves a maximum efficiency of 62.13% and a ripple factor of 0.68, surpassing the performance of the diode rectifier. Additionally, the paper presents a comprehensive study of the converter's output voltage, current, input, efficiency, and ripple factor under varying input voltage conditions.
