Embracing Decentralization: A Blockchain Database Model for Enhanced Data Operations

In today's world, databases are used almost everywhere for the purpose of storage of data. These traditional databases are centralized which means that any central authority has all the rights to change, modify or store the data. This indirectly means single point of failure. Hence through this research, we have proposed a decentralized blockchain based database (DBDS) system in which all the data will be stored in the form of immutable ledger on Blockchain Network. Our system ensures optimal performance and reliability through the implementation of various load balancing techniques. Another main feature of our proposed system the interface which maintains the familiar look and feel of traditional databases, while simplified SQL commands, comprehensive documentation, and a library of predefined functions and queries facilitate ease of use. This work presents a unique architecture, assesses its applicability, and proposes further scope for future research, adding to the new and disruptive technologies.
