Enhancing Web-Based Virtual Tours with AI Chatbot Integration: A Case Study of Vocational High Schools

This study explores the development and implementation of a web-based virtual tour integrated with an AI chatbot for SMAN 17 Garut, a vocational high school. The primary aim is to enhance student orientation and promote the school's facilities by providing an interactive and user-friendly digital tool. Utilizing the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology, the virtual tour was systematically created and tested. The AI chatbot sig-nificantly improved user interaction by providing real-time assistance and personalized information, making the virtual tour more engaging and informative. The study's findings highlight the effectiveness of combining virtual tour technology with AI-driven elements to create a comprehensive digital orientation tool. The virtual tour also served as an effective promotional tool, showcasing the school's facilities to prospective students and their families. The research addresses key gaps in the literature by focusing on AI integration in vocational education settings and offers practical insights for further developments and applications in various sectors.
