Inconsistent behavior of pre-increment operators of C language

The C programming language serves as the foundation for nearly all programming languages in the computing world. Programming languages are changing as a result of technological breakthroughs and new approaches to problem solving. As a result of these developments, a number of compilers have been designed. These compilers differ based on the order in which the instruction in the program's code get executed. This paper demonstrates the difference among the various available C compilers such as Turbo C++, DEV C++ compiler, online compilers namely GDB compiler, Programmiz compiler by taking into consideration the concept of operator precedence and operator associativity. Operator precedence and operator associativity are the key concepts which deals with the evaluation of expression having multiple operators with different precedence and multiple operators with same precedence respectively. This paper aims to discuss implementations of these key concepts by providing the insights into pre and post increment operators.
