27.09%-Efficient Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cell Technology with Interdigitated Back Contacts

Improving the photoconversion efficiency of silicon solar cells is crucial to further the deployment of renewable electricity. Our submitted work represents a high conversion efficiency up to 27.09% solar cell, combining interdigitated back contacts and an amorphous silicon/crystalline silicon heterojunction fabricated by industrial-viable laser ablation method. Careful control of the amorphous silicon films together with damage-free laser ablation ensured the excellent passivation quality.
