Efficient CsPbI3 Solar Cell Modules

Here, we attempted two ways for efficient CsPbI3 solar cell modules. Firstly, we constructed an interfacial gradient heterostructure from Br gradient distribution based on low-temperature post-treatment of quaternary bromide salts. Nonradiative recombination in CsPbI3 was suppressed and more compatible interfacial energy level alignment was also achieved, which gave 12cm² CsPbI3 modules with 16.60% efficiency. Furthermore, we developed a new precursor solution suitable for blade-coating method technique in the air. Further investigation reveals that a new intermediate phase is formed to enable the crystal quality of CsPbI3 films be improved. CsPbI3 module exhibited 18.3% efficiency (total area: 12.39cm²) and 19.9% efficiency (active area: 11.40cm²).
