Design of Border Patrol Robot System Based on ROS

In order to improve the efficiency and safety of border patrol work, this paper designs a new border patrol robot system, which includes a hardware structure, software design, path planning algorithm, recognition algorithm, and other aspects. The patrol robot employs an enhanced particle swarm algorithm to execute path planning for the patrol route. The robot's video stream and status information are transmitted to the ground station via the local area network. The developed ground station can issue real-time control and tracking directives to the robot, enabling the tracking of suspicious targets. The system's effectiveness was demonstrated through experimental validation, confirming its ability to significantly enhance the efficiency and safety of border patrol operations.
