5G Triband Transparent and Flexible Slotted Patch Antennae

The presented work discusses the geometry of the design and analyses a slotted rectangular patch antenna operating at triple frequencies of 3.54GHz, 5.4GHz, and 6.82GHz. The slotted patch antenna is designed with Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) as patch and ground initially then designed with Silver Tin Oxide (AgHT-8) as patch and as ground. The substrate employed is Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic with a dielectric constant of 2.7 and a dielectric loss tangent of 0.007. The antenna's performance is evaluated by performing a bending analysis at radii of 20mm, 30 mm and 40mm to investigate the effects on reflection coefficient and radiation patterns compared to the unbent patch. The study was conducted using two optically transparent materials to highlight the changes in antenna performance when switching between these transparent materials and when subject to bending. The antenna design is suitable for Wi-Fi 8 and Sub-6 GHz band. Ansys Electronics Desktop Student 2023 has been used as simulating software for designing the antenna.
