EEG-based signature recognition using visual stimulation of RGB colors

This study utilized the OpenBCI brain-computer interface to examine brain patterns in response to visual exposure to primary colors. The Hilbert-Huang Transform was applied to analyze the EEG data, revealing distinct brain responses to different colors. Specifically, blue light elicited a narrower frequency band and higher amplitude compared to red and green. Additionally, the brain response to green light showed a frequency shift towards higher values relative to red and blue. Significant variability in brain responses was observed between participants. The researchers concluded that OpenBCI is a suitable and cost-effective platform for complex EEG data acquisition across various applications.
