Research and Application of Key Technologies of Intelligent Unmanned Warehousing Based on 5G

Recently, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in various industries has become increasingly common. In this process of digital and intelligent transformation, warehousing becomes the core link in the logistics chain and the entire supply chain. However, current research in the logistics industry focuses on a single link or a single logistics technology, lacking a holistic and multi-technology integration logistics technology research. In order to make up for this deficiency, this paper proposes a new logistics model based on 5G technology, which aims to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall supply chain. In this model, we introduce 5G intelligent automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), which enable remote monitoring and management of warehouse equipment as well as real-time data transmission through the 5G network. Meanwhile, this paper elaborates on an unmanned warehousing system architecture - IWMS-RCS, which integrates AI and IoT technologies to achieve the intelligent and automated management of warehousing. Meanwhile, in order to better control the movement of AGVs, we introduced a PID algorithm model, which enables precise control of AGV movement through the adjustment of proportional, integral, and derivative control parameters. Finally, we verified the effectiveness and feasibility of 5G-based intelligent unmanned warehousing technology in a practical engineering project. The experimental results showed that this novel technology can effectively improve warehousing efficiency, reduce operating costs, enhance safety, and improve the transparency and controllability of the supply chain.
