Building IoT Based Wireless Network Pen-Testing Using NodeMCU

Wi-Fi hotspots are ubiquitous in today's world. While it is frequently recommended that users use secure networks to preserve their privacy, this precaution alone is insufficient. The simplicity of connecting to Wi-Fi hotspots has unintentionally exposed security flaws suitable for exploitation by malicious actors. This highlights the critical issue of poor client-side security in Wi-Fi enabled devices. Nowadays, with the amount of open-source software and freely available information, malevolent persons can easily create Wi-Fi networks to trick unwary users into connecting to unlawful access points. When examining the behavior of client-side devices in Wi-Fi communications, the underlying risk posed by this vulnerability becomes immediately evident. This flaw's vulnerability becomes apparent when client-side behavior in Wi-Fi connections is examined. Clients actively scan for and connect to access points without first checking their validity. Despite widespread knowledge of assaults targeting Wi-Fi clients, effective solutions remain elusive. Given these ongoing issues, there is a pressing need to improve the security of Wi-Fi client-side communications and raise user awareness of the widespread risks they face. This program seeks to provide a complete framework for analyzing and exploiting Wi-Fi vulnerabilities, with a focus on client-side flaws while keeping flexibility to address diverse forms of Wi-Fi attacks. The framework will allow auditors to do intrusion testing on Wi-Fi networks, providing both a practical tool for discovering vulnerabilities and a means of promoting awareness and information about the inherent hazards connected with Wi-Fi technologies.
