Stabilization of Interval Type-2 Polynomial Fuzzy Networked Control Systems Under Cyber-Attacks

To investigate the security control of nonlinear cyber-physical systems (CPSs), we present the stability analysis and the control synthesis for the nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) subject to uncertainty and non-periodic cyber-attacks. To capture the uncertainty and nonlinearity directly and effectively, the interval type-2 (IT2) polynomial fuzzy model is adopted to describe the nonlinear dynamics of the plant, which is also subject to uncertainty. In the NCSs, the resilient polynomial event-triggered mechanism (PETM) is proposed to save the communication requirement on the bandwidth while the influence from non-periodic denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on the networks is also considered. The PETM and the DoS attacks directly lead to the mismatch issue for the fuzzy-model-based (FMB) control design framework. As a consequence, the mismatch issue renders the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) based approaches inadequate for the stability analysis. Through the piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method, the mismatch issue between the premise variables subject to the event-triggered mechanism and the presence of DoS attacks is investigated rigorously through the membership-function-dependent (MFD) approach along with the imperfect premise matching (IPM) concept. Furthermore, the conservativeness in stability conditions is further reduced through MFD analysis. Besides, the PETM mechanism depending on the state is verified to relax the stability condition and save the communication bandwidth. The simulation example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed control design.
