Image Colorization: Comprehensive Review

This paper has conducted a detailed and extensive analysis of the algorithms applied in image colorization. Specifically this paper analyses the application of the algorithms combinations of the approaches the performance of the algorithms considering different parameters. This paper also reviews and contrasts the research methodologies suggested. The analysis is conducted to understand how the algorithms really work what are the drawbacks of the applications how the systems operate under different conditions. This paper also suggests possible areas for further research such as integration of different image features. The implementation of multi modal pictures for matching and colorizing, the study of super resolution. Overall this paper aimed to provide a comprehensive guide for further development of algorithms in the image colorization area. The paper also highlights new directions and challenges in the field of image colorization including the development of real time colorization systems for interactive applications the exploration of novel evaluation metrics for evaluating colorization quality and the integration of machine learning techniques with domain specific knowledge.
