An Approach to Soft Linking Capacity Expansion and Dispatch Models to Assess the Flexibility of the Future Energy System Using the Example of the UPS of Russia

The expected decarbonization of the Russian power system creates challenges that require new complex approaches to modeling its development and functioning. An approach to the soft linking of the capacity expansion and dispatch models is proposed. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach in identifying critical issues of the future power system and their elimination.
