A Protection of a Transmission Line by Distance Protection Technique in RTDS Environmental

India has a vast and complex transmission network that serves electricity to diverse region across the country. This paper aims to propose and demonstrate a simplified protection scheme for a transmission line in a power grid. Real Time Digital simulator (RTDS) is used to simulate the power grid system designed single line transmission network Bus System. This protection scheme is done with the help of RSCAD and RTDS software. Distance protection is done by Series compensated transmission line. This work also emphasizes the use and advantages of an electromagnetic transient-type (EMTP) real-time simulator in the analysis of series compensated systems.
