Design and Analysis of 12/16 Pole Flux Reversal Motor with Different Permanent Magnets using Ansys

This paper represents design and analysis of 12/16 pole Flux Reversal Motor (FRM) with permanent magnets mounted on stator pole shoe. In this paper, various permanent magnets are taken to analyze the behavior of torque, induced voltage and flux linkages and other parameters, and a comparison is drawn to analyze the effect of PM in FRM. The rotor of the suggested 3-phase FRM is free of permanent magnet (PM), and this design may increase rotor durability. This design with PM mounted on stator surface will lower consumption in comparison to the permanent magnets on the rotor's surface. The study of this methodology includes a 3-Dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA) to examine the performance and magnetic field distribution of 12/16 FRM. The FEA analyses the motor's performance, including moving torque as well as the magnetic field distribution of the rotor and stator under various circumstances.
