Impact of AI on Employee Creativity: The Mediating Role of Creativity Catalytic Contribution

The purpose of this study is to explore what kind of AI can act as a ‘catalyst’ for enhancing employee creativity. As technology develops, AI is used more widely and is an essential work companion for employees, especially those in creative work. Employee acceptance of AI depends on their perception. Based on the socio-perceptual ‘Big Two Model’, AI's competence and warmth affect whether employees accept its creative catalytic contribution. The hypothesis is that AI competence is positively correlated with creativity catalyzing contribution and high warmth leads to greater contribution. High creativity catalytic contribution stimulates employee creativity. The impact of future high-competence, high-warmth AI on business innovation is discussed.
