Sidelobe Suppression in Multistatic Radar Imaging Using Cyclic Richardson-Lucy Deconvolutions

A fast deconvolution-based beamforming approach for spatially-resolved localization of scattering centers of distributed targets in the near field is presented. With significantly lower computational complexity compared to conventional imaging approaches such as the standard backprojection algorithm, the presented approach allows to evaluate the entire angular range for the unambiguous downrange by performing cyclic fast Fourier transform-based deconvolutions in the spherical coordinate system.
