Innovative Applications and Effect Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence in English Teaching

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, its application in the field of education is becoming more and more extensive. This paper will explore the innovative application of artificial intelligence in English teaching and evaluate its effect. We have adopted the experimental research method, taking the students of Class 1 and Class 2, Grade 2 of School of Computer Science and Engineering, Guilin University of Technology as the research objects, receiving traditional teaching and artificial intelligence teaching respectively. The results of the study show that AI-assisted instruction significantly improves student achievement and interest compared to traditional instruction. In the final exam, the scores of the students in the experimental group were significantly improved, while the variance decreased, and the numbers of students in the 80-90 and above 90 range were significantly higher than that of the students in the control group. This study provides new ideas and methods for the field of English teaching, which is of great significance to promote educational innovation.
