Application of Improved Genetic Algorithm in Roundness Error Evaluation

Roundness error is an important parameter for evaluating the positional error of rotary parts, which has a direct impact on product performance. This article combines the least squares method in its evaluation method with an improved genetic algorithm to improve its evaluation accuracy and efficiency. The least squares method has a simple calculation process, convenient algorithm implementation, and strong optimization ability of genetic algorithm. This article achieves optimization of genetic algorithm by improving the selection and crossover process. In terms of software implementation, MATLAB was used, and the feasibility of the algorithm was demonstrated by comparing the processing results of measurement data examples with least squares methods.
