Design and Development of an FMI Co-Simulation Tool

Modeling and simulation have been widely applied in scientific research and industrial systems. Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) co-simulation aims at providing a unified interface for orchestrating and scheduling heterogeneous Functional Mock-up Unit (FMU) models from different sources or tools, which however needs user-friendly software. In this paper, we introduce our FMI co-simulation tool (FCST for short). We first discuss the functionality and architecture of FCST, and then use two case studies to demonstrate the application of the tool. After that, we compare our tool with some other popular tools.
