Image Processing In Remote Sensing Data For Inventory-Based Estimation Of Forest Primary Production; An Assessment Support For Region Forest Inventories

The potential of the forest production area requires monitoring and calculation using technology that produces precise and accurate data, so on this basis, this research aims to conduct an inventory of the primary production potential of forest areas with remote sensing data. The calculation of the estimated production potential in this research was obtained from the estimation results of stem volume by adding up all the estimated values, which refers to the research objective that the results of this research were an inventory and an estimate of the potential for forest production in Batam Island, then the processing resulted in an estimated value of 174.217 m3. The highest estimated production potential is in the Sekupang and Batuaji sub-districts, The production potential for the Sungai Beduk, Sagulung, and Nongsa Districts ranges from 7,520 - 25,435. Meanwhile, for low potential production areas because these areas include densely populated areas, shipyards, and built-up land.
