Development of Preschool Science Software Based on box2d Engine

With the development of network technology, people’s access to information is more convenient. On the Internet, the acquisition of preschool science knowledge is becoming more and more convenient. Through search engines, it can find the content of preschool science. However, due to the lack of professional knowledge, preschool science knowledge is still in a simple and one-sided state. There is a lack of teaching content suitable for children’s understanding and cognitive characteristics in early childhood science teaching, so it is particularly important to develop a scientific software that can combine children’s actual characteristics and facilitate understanding and cognition. This paper developed a preschool science software based on box2d engine, so that children can learn and explore scientific knowledge through learning and understanding, so as to stimulate their interest in scientific knowledge. Through the observation of children using the software and the analysis of the collected data, it is found that children are excited and curious about the physical simulation achieved by box2d engine, and can actively participate in learning activities. The research in this paper also provides useful guidance for the improvement and optimization of the software.
