Unveiling the Gamer Landscape: A Statistical Analysis of Gaming Habits and Mental Health

In this study, we investigate the intricate relationship between gaming behavior, mental health indicators, and demographic factors among gamers. Leveraging a rich dataset of 14000 gamers encompassing their responses to mental health questionnaires, demographic information, and playstyle preferences, we employ a variety of statistical methods and tests, including Cronbach’s Alpha method, Spearman, Pearson, and Kendall correlations. Our primary objective is to ascertain whether gamers exhibit signs of sadness and loneliness and to discern patterns based on their playstyle, age, employment status, and other demographic variables. Through this comprehensive analysis, we seek to analyze the complex interplay between gaming behavior and mental well-being, offering valuable insights for both stakeholders in the gaming community and researchers.
