Wave Impedance Characteristics Based on Deep Sea Sound Vector Field

In this study, a deep sea sound vector field model is established under high-frequency approximation conditions based on ray theory and the Euler formula, focusing on the characteristics of the deep sea sound vector field. Analytical expressions for the particle velocity and wave impedance are also provided. The simulation of the sound vector field in two environments, range-independent and range-dependent, was carried out. As shown by the numerical analysis, the propagation characteristics of the sound pressure and horizontal particle velocity were basically consistent, whereas those of the sound pressure and vertical particle velocity varied considerably. The variation of horizontal wave impedance with range remains stable, whereas the vertical wave impedance fluctuates substantially with range, which indicates that the vertical wave impedance contains richer acoustic field information.
