A Review on IoT-Enabled Smart Homes Using AI

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Internet of Things (IoT) technology has revolutionized the concept of smart homes, paving the way for enhanced automation, efficiency, and convenience in residential living. This review paper examines the advancements, challenges, and future prospects of AI-controlled smart homes powered by IoT. Through a survey of the existing literature, we highlight the key components, functionalities, and benefits of such systems, including intelligent energy management, predictive maintenance, and personalized user experiences. Moreover, we came across the knowledge of various AI algorithms and techniques utilized for data processing, decision-making, and interaction within smart home environments, we present insights from selected research papers that contributes significantly to the understanding and development of AI-enabled IoT solutions for smart homes. Through this review, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art in AIcontrolled smart homes and stimulate further research in this rapidly evolving field.
