Wavelet Coupling Phase Selection Method for UHV Transmission Line Fault

In order to solve the problem of difficulty in detecting faults on high-voltage transmission lines, a wavelet coupling phase selection method for ultra-high-voltage transmission lines under extreme environments is proposed. By combining the traveling wave fault location method and wavelet transform for ultra-high-voltage transmission lines, the accurate distance of the transmission line fault imbalance dataset is obtained, and then the specific fault point location is determined by the wavelet coupling phase selection method. This method reduces the distance and time of the fault due to the length of the line. Through analysis of field faults on ultra-high-voltage transmission lines, experiments show that the proposed method is feasible.
