A Semi-Markovian Model of the Spread of Viruses in a Computer System

In the present work, a security model of a computer system based on semi-Markov processes and the resulting system of Kolmogorov’s differential equations is considered. A study was made of the factors on which the security of the system depends, such as the intensity of infection, recovery, transition from latent to overt form. The proposed model can be further developed and used to model the performance of anti-virus agents.
