Enhanced Amino Functionalization TiO₂ Electrodes for pH Detection of Culture Substrates In Situ

A superhydrophilic pH-sensitive electrode with amino acid-modified TiO2 thin film is proposed in this work and studied to improve the sensitive response of pH values in culture substrates. First, the influence of modification process factors on the hydrophilicity and pH sensitive of the electrodes was studied with orthogonal experiment. Then, SEM, XRD, and XPS were used to investigate the influence of the chemical etching factors on the morphology and composition of the fabricated electrodes. Amino acid modification was found to have a significant influence the component of the electrode, which strongly affected the surface hydrophilicity and pH sensitive. Finally, it was found that amino acid-modified TiO2 electrode showed a marked improvement in sensitive response through comparative experiments.
